This week, the Upper Moreland community experienced a tremendous loss with the passing of Mr. Doug Smith, a beloved Spanish teacher, track coach, and dedicated member of our school community. Mr. Smith devoted more than a decade of service to our district, leaving an enduring legacy.
Throughout his time at Upper Moreland, Mr. Smith touched the lives of countless students and colleagues in meaningful and lasting ways. A truly respected mentor, he led with kindness, compassion, and an unwavering belief in others.
His legacy will continue to live on in the lives he touched and in the spirit of our high school. Mr. Smith’s presence will be deeply missed, but his influence will be felt throughout our classrooms, hallways, and on the athletic fields for years to come.
We are holding his family and our school community close in our thoughts as we navigate this difficult time together.
