🌟 Congratulations to the UMHS Rotary Student of the Month for March, Ieva Dovha!
Ieva is an academically exceptional and highly motivated student. A talented linguist, she speaks Ukrainian, Russian, and Italian, in addition to English, and has studied French and Spanish through the AP level. As a senior taking multiple Honors and AP courses, she has earned an impressive 4.475 weighted GPA.
Beyond the classroom, Ieva is dedicated to leadership and service. She is a member of National Honor Society and Key Club, participates in Medical Club and Girls Tennis, and co-founded the UMES Tutoring Program, which supports immigrant students in strengthening their English and math skills. She has also explored her interest in healthcare by shadowing medical professionals at Jefferson Abington Hospital and participating in Thomas Jefferson University’s REACH program.
Outside of school, Ieva volunteers through her church’s summer camps and outreach programs and helps support her family by caring for her younger brother and assisting with translation when needed. She plans to attend a four-year college and continue pursuing her academic and career goals.
