Dear Upper Moreland School Community,
We are writing to provide an update to our earlier communication regarding the reported suspicious activity near the Middle School.
The Upper Moreland Township Police Department has informed us that, based on their investigation, there is no danger to the community, and the incident has been confirmed not to be a child-luring situation. UMPD has made contact with the individual associated with the vehicle and determined that this was not an attempt to lure students. The investigation remains active as police continue to follow up with all parties involved.
We are deeply appreciative of the Upper Moreland Police Department for their swift, thorough, and professional response. Their strong partnership and unwavering commitment to our schools play a vital role in maintaining the safety of our entire community.
As always, we encourage students and families to remain vigilant. If you observe anything concerning, please report it to the school administration, the Upper Moreland Township Police Department, or the Safe2Say Something Hotline so that concerns can be addressed promptly.

Dear Upper Moreland School Community,
Late last evening, the Upper Moreland Township Police Department received a report of suspicious activity involving two students walking home from the middle school at approximately 2:40 p.m. near the intersection of Exton and Morris Roads. The students were able to make their way home safely. The report indicated that a vehicle, possibly a blue 2006 Acura TSX with tinted windows, attempted to make contact with the students.
At this time, UMPD is actively investigating the incident as suspicious activity. We ask our school community to support the Upper Moreland Police Department in their ongoing investigation. If you have any information that may be relevant, please contact UMPD immediately at (215) 657-4700.
The safety of our students remains our highest priority, not only while they are on our school campuses, but also as they travel to and from school each day. We encourage all students and families to remain vigilant and to report any concerning behavior immediately to school administration, the Upper Moreland Police Department, or through the Safe2Say Something Hotline.
In coordination with the District, the Upper Moreland Police Department will have an increased presence in and around our school campuses over the next several days.
