Dr. Michael Bair, Principal

Michael Bair Ed.D. is the Intermediate School Principal of the Upper Moreland School District. Dr. Michael Bair holds an undergraduate degree from Temple University. He majored in elementary education, special education, and early childhood education. 

Dr. Bair attained education certificates in both Elementary K-6 and Special Education K-12 during his tenure at Temple University.  He continued his studies at Holy Family University and received a Master’s Degree in Special Education. Additionally, Dr. Bair pursued his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Immaculata University. While attending Immaculata University, Dr. Bair received a K-12 Pennsylvania Principal’s Certification, K-12 Supervisor of Special Education Certificate, and a K-12 Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction Certificate.  Dr. Bair recently completed the Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility Program at Immaculata University and earned this certification.

Dr. Bair has worked with students at both the elementary and secondary levels. Over the course of his career, Dr. Bair has taught both general and special education students. He taught emotional support, learning support, and was a co-teacher in a general education 5th grade classroom.  Additionally, Dr. Bair worked at the district level as a Program Specialist and both an Assistant Principal and Principal at our elementary schools.    

Dr. Bair joined the Upper Moreland School District team in 2001. He became a building administrator with UMTSD in 2011. Over the span of his profession, Dr. Bair has dedicated his entire career to the students, staff, and families of the Upper Moreland School District community.
