    Matthew Beyerle

    Matt Beyerle, M.Ed., is thrilled to join Upper Moreland Middle School as the Assistant Principal and 7th Grade Administrator.  A proud member of the UMHS class of 2006, Mr. Beyerle attended Upper Moreland schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade.  Mr. Beyerle earned a B.A. in History from James Madison University in 2010.  He then graduated from the University of Virginia with a M.Ed. in Special Education in 2013 and completed his Pennsylvania’s Principal Certificate through Point Park University in 2017.

    Mr. Beyerle started his career in education as an 8th grade special education and English teacher in Fairfax County, Virginia.  After four years in Virginia, Mr. Beyerle relocated back to Pennsylvania and served as an English and Social Studies teacher at Paul Robeson High School in West Philadelphia for three years.  During his tenure, Paul Robeson was recognized as the “Most Improved” high school in Philadelphia, and Mr. Beyerle earned the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching.  Mr. Beyerle then transitioned into an administrative position as he served as the Assistant Principal for Student Affairs at Archbishop Ryan High School in Northeast Philadelphia during the 17-18 school year.  Mr. Beyerle has also served as an instructional coach for new teachers through the Great Beginnings Program, as well as a summer instructional coach for Breakthrough Collaborative.

    Mr. Beyerle is honored to return to his home school district.  In addition to his administrative certificate, Mr. Beyerle holds Pennsylvania certification in English, social studies, special education, middle school math, and as a reading specialist.  Mr. Beyerle resides in Bensalem, PA with his wife, Tiffany.
