    Good Morning!       Today is Tuesday, November 21 , 2017.   It is a PURPLE  day.


    The Booster Club is looking for volunteers to work at the snack stand during the Thanksgiving game.  Interested?  Contact Candy  Hirsch t-hirsch@msn.com.   Game is at 10 am, snack stand is HEATED and you can still watch the game!!


    ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS!!  Get your Snowball Tickets NOW! They will continue to be sold throughout this week for  $45.   The dance will be held at The Fuge on Friday, December 8th from 7-10 pm. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.  Non-UMHS students will need to complete a Guest Approval Form.  Please see Ms. Hunt with any questions. 


    A reminder to prospective bowlers:  Tryouts are  TODAY    at Thunderbird Lanes in Warminster.  If you do not have all the required paperwork and fees submitted to the athletic office, you will not be permitted to try out.  There will be transportation to bowling leaving the high school at 2:30 pm.  If you have not completed the concussion baseline testing (IMPACT testing), you must contact Mr. Cohen to schedule a time to complete the testing.  


    Upper Moreland's 6th Annual Mini-THON is coming and registration is now open.  Registration is $10 per person and requires you to complete the registration form available from any of the committee members, at THON Thursday events (beginning TODAY) or from the office.  All registrations must be returned by Dec. 23rd.  This is your chance to be involved in all the fun and excitement of our Mini-THON being held on January 27th from 6-12 pm at the Intermediate School.  Be a part of the thousands of high school students all working For The Kids (FTK) to help with treatment, research and support for children who have been diagnosed with pediatric cancer and their families .  All monies raised from Mini-THON go the Four Diamonds at Hershey Medical Center to support kids.  


      Freshman Class T-Shirts are now on sale. Please check your email for the design and order form. All orders are due on 12/8 by 2:40 pm in room 904. You can only turn in your money to Mrs. Lipenta in room 904!

    The UMHS Fall Clothing Sale is happening now!  Order forms can be found in the main office and outside room 809. All orders must be in by Tuesday, November 28th.  Any questions - see Mrs. Raginsky 


    Any 10th grade student interested in attending the Eastern Center visitation should turn in their permission slip to the Guidance office by Monday 11/27/17.  Extra permission slips are available in the Guidance office. 


    Attention Seniors:  Please submit your completed diploma cards to Mrs. Beck in the main office as soon as possible. 


    T-shirts! Get your senior t-shirts!Senior t-shirts are on sale now. Long sleeve shirts are $15.00 and short sleeve shirts are $10.00.Long sleeve shirts are purple with "UM Class of 2018" printed on the front left pocket and "Golden Bears" down the sleeve. The back of the shirt will have "18" filled in with all senior's names.Short sleeve shirts are the same color and design minus the writing on the sleeve.Sales will continue until Thursday, November 30th. All money should be turned in to Ms. Roush in room 908. Checks should be made payable to Upper Moreland School District.


    Need help with your schoolwork?    ASAP will be held Tuesday and Thursdays throughout the school year.  NHS tutors will also be on hand to assist with independent study.  All students must sign up PRIOR to 2:20 pm on Tuesdays and Thursday.  Program will last from 2:40 to 3:40 pm.  Transportation is available for ONLY the students that attend ASAP.  Questions?  See Mrs. Franczkowski.

Scholarship opportunities available! Stop by the Guidance Office for more information and an application.  Early Bird  Registration Deadline - March 2, 2018.       Final Deadline - April 6, 2018


    Current Sophomores and Juniors - Interested in Business, Health Care or Agriculture?    Lehigh University, The University of Pittsburgh and Penn State are offering 4 week summer programs for 2018.   Application Deadline for the upcoming summer is February 15, 2018.     Attention Seniors!   - Do not forget to bring in your acceptance letters and scholarships to colleges as you receive them.  Bring them into the Guidance office to receive your PAW PRINT on the wall.
