Mr. Haput

Mr. Haupt - School Counselor

I have been a school counselor at Upper Moreland Middle School since 2017! Before arriving at UMMS, I held counseling positions at the High School and, most recently, Middle School levels. I received my BA from Shippensburg University and then went on to earn my Master of Science in School Counseling from Gwynedd-Mercy College.

As a counselor, I use a student-centered, solution-focused approach when working with UMMS students. This means that I work with students to identify their issues and to help them focus on developing a plan to reach a resolution. With a wide variety of strategies in my arsenal, I work with each student to find those strategies that work best for them.

I also consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to help put supports in place for students who may be struggling. Whether it be an issue with peers, academics, at home, or something you just cannot stop thinking about, we will work together to find support and solutions that will work for you.

Outside of school, I spend the majority of my time outside hiking, working in my garden, or coaching a sport. When I'm not outside, you can find me cheering on the EAGLES or getting lost in a good book.

Mrs. Haney

Mrs. Haney - School Counselor

I am excited to start my 23rd year in the district at Upper Moreland Middle School.  I look forward to working with the staff and admin team to help students and families have a  great 2020/21 school year. I earned a Bachelors of Science in Education from Arcadia University and a Masters of Science in School Counseling from Gwynedd Mercy College.

In school, I typically use a solution-focused approach with students helping them to set and reach their goals.  Helping students learn to think and begin to solve problems are lifelong tools every student will need. I believe in a team approach working with families and teachers which helps to create a safe learning environment where students can find success.

Outside of school I enjoy reading, golfing, traveling, and spending time with my husband and children. I like to help students create a "happy place" in their minds using visualization and often point out pictures in my office of various beach scenes. Where is your happy place?

Ms. Williams

Ms. Williams - School Psychologist

I am truly excited to join the Upper Moreland School District as the Middle School Psychologist. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Radford University. My desire to help young people led me on the path to continue in my pursuits toward becoming a school psychologist. I continued my educational goals and earned my Master's Degree and Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). Working collaboratively with parents, students, community partners, and staff will help us to ensure that students come first. It’s a team effort here at Upper Moreland Middle School, and I’m excited to be able to work with you. Don’t hesitate to reach out or stop by my office. I look forward to meeting everyone.

In my spare time, I love to read books. I’ve been called a Bibliophile and
a true crime buff. I love family and friends, traveling, meeting new people, food, and sharing experiences.
