The debate club will meet Monday after school in Room 414. All members of the debate club are encouraged to attend.
Auditions for the spring musical, Disney's Mary Poppins, will be held on Wednesday, December 11 or Thursday, December 12 starting at 4:30 pm in the auditorium. Audition materials are in the Drama Google Site which can be accessed through the high school website. Any questions, see Mrs. Raginsky in room 809.
Attention Key Club members: our next meeting is Monday night at 7 pm in the auditorium. If you didn’t get your shirt at the last meeting, they’ll be available at this one. We will be making crafts for our caroling and signups for the rest of this month and part of January.
The Diversity Club will be meeting after school in room 404 on Tuesday, December 16th. New members are welcomed and appreciated.
The library is holding a book fair now through the 11th. Any student who would like to purchase may bring their money at the beginning of the day or end of the day. All books are $3.00 or $5.00.
The Kiwanis and Key Club sponsored holiday breakfast will be held at the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology THIS Sunday from 8:30-11 am. The Holiday Breakfast includes eggs, pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage, fruits, beverages, a visit/picture with Santa and a donation to the UMHS Scholarship Fund for a graduating senior in June of 2020. Tickets are $10.
The Vermont Ski Trip deposit of $100 is due TODAY. Deposits will be accepted by Mr. Scheuren in room 708 on a first come first serve basis. If more students sign up for the trip than the bus can hold students will be placed on a waiting list. Please get your deposit in ASAP to guarantee a spot on this year's trip to Killington.

ASAP is available to all students who may be looking for a quiet space to work on homework, an easy meeting place to host a study group, or an NHS tutor to work with for help with a specific class. Any student taking the SAT at ABINGTON HIGH SCHOOL this Saturday, please note there is construction. Students will enter the building near the stadium parking lot. A map is available in the guidance office. You should plan to arrive a bit early, since campus traffic will be a little hectic.
Attention all Current 10th and 11th Grade Students. Interested in a fun summer experience?! Try Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week (PFEW) Apply at www.pfew.org or stop by the Guidance Office for more information. Apply by March 2, 2020. Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week (PFEW) is a one-of-a-kind summer program that offers in-coming high school juniors and seniors a unique and challenging opportunity to see what it is like to run their own business. Participants will make up an "imaginary" management team where they will learn first-hand about the Free Enterprise System. Their task - turn their failing company into a financial success! They will develop their own marketing strategies, design a website and in essence, make all of the decisions that are demanded of real life company executives. All work and no fun--NO WAY! PFEW provides students with a chance like no other - to experience what it is like to live on a college campus.

Design Day Camp: Discover What it Means to be a Graphic Designer This one day hands-on design camp at Kutztown University will introduce sophomore, junior and senior high school students to design as a career and raise awareness of design’s possibilities. The student will explore their creativity and critical thinking abilities, as well as learn how they can impact society through design. Saturday, January 11th, 2020 9:00 am- 3:00 pm Cost: $10.00+ handling fees, includes lunch and tech fees. Who should attend: sophomore, junior or senior high school students who have an interest in graphic design as a career path.
PSAT results will be released to students on Wednesday, December 11th. If the student provided an email address during PSAT testing, they will receive an email reminder from CollegeBoard xplaining where and how to view scores. Students can set up a free College Board account at any time. Follow the instructions and create a College Board account. While signed in, go to the score reporting portal. If you don’t see your scores when you log in, you may need to enter an access code. See your counselor for your access code if you were not sent one.PSAT scores have been uploaded and are currently available in Naviance.Counselors will provide presentations regarding how to interpret PSAT scores to ALL 10th and 11th grade students the week of December 9th and 16th.
