    Good Morning!       Today is Wednesday, September 20, 2017, it is a GOLD day. 

     

    Need help with your schoolwork?  The ASAP program will start this week after school in room 404.  ASAP will be held Tuesday and Thursdays throughout the school year.  NHS tutors will also be on had to assist with independent study.  All students must sign up PRIOR to 2:20 pm on Tuesdays and Thursday.  Program will last from 2:40 to 3:40 pm.  Transportation is available for ONLY the students that attend ASAP.  Questions?  See Mrs. Franczkowski. 

     

    Key Club: did you miss our first meeting? Still want to be a member of a great community service club?? Our next meeting is Monday night at 7 pm in the auditorium. A reminder that dues can be paid tonight. 

     

    Are you interested in being a part of the Fall Red Cross Blood Drive? The committee will be meeting right after school Tuesday, October 26th, in the Audion. If you can't make be sure to email Mr. Cohen or see Mariel and Ronnie. 

     

    Anyone interested in videoing the home boys soccer games, see Mr. Landgraff in Athletics.

     

    The first meeting of the Debate Club will be held after school TODAY in Room 414. Please see Mr. Fisher for further details.

     

    Students who took the AP test last school year and scored a 3 or better, must complete a W9 to be reimbursed.  These forms can be found at the front desk with Mrs. DiSandro.  Deadline for reimbursement will be September 29th.

     

    Attention Seniors:  Interested in the Disney Trip?  Pick up a packet in the Guidance office or with Mrs. DiSandro in the main office.  Deposits of $400 are due on 9/22.  Please see Mrs. Vesper with questions.

     

    Do you like to play Chess?  Would you like to learn how to play?  The Upper Moreland Chess Club will begin to meet every Tuesday.  We meet right after school in Room 411.All levels of experience are welcome.  Any questions, see  Mrs. Frye.

    SENIORS - INSTANT DECISION DAY is here at UMHS for Kutztown University!  October 18, 2017 - 9:40am-10:30am.You must apply online using fee waiver code AFBE instead of paying $35.00 by October, 9th 2017 to be eligible. For more details and to register see Mrs. Sadowski in the Guidance office by 2:30pm October 17. . 

     

    Attention Juniors and Seniors the following schools will be coming to visit Upper Moreland High School in the next few weeks.  Register to attend on your Naviance account. Students have until 3:00 pm the day before each visit to register in Naviance.

     Arcadia University-TODAY , at 9:00am

    Widener University- Friday 9/22 @9am

    Millersville University- Friday 9/22 @1:00pm

     

    Attention Sophomores:  Are you interested in becoming an effective leader in your school and community?  Consider applying to become a HOBY Ambassador.  The selected student will have the opportunity to attend a three day leadership seminar in June.  Interested students should pick up an application in the HS Guidance Office.  The deadline to apply is 11/1/2017.  

     

     

    PSAT REGISTRATION: 

    WHO:  Any 10th or 11th grade student who is thinking about going to college should take the PSAT/NMSQT.

    WHAT: The PSAT/NMSQT helps you prepare for the SAT.  It measures the same skills and has the same format as the SAT.  On average, students who take the PSAT earn higher scores on the SAT than those who do not.

    WHEN:  The PSAT will be administered at Upper Moreland High School on Weds, Oct. 11, 2017 from 7:45 – 12:45

    HOW:  Register on-line at www.TotalRegistration.net/PSAT/395340. Registration opens on September 14th.  Register by September 27th to avoid the late fee.  At the time of registration, you will need to pay the test fee of $17 by credit or debit card.Registration closes on October 4th.

    *** All 11th graders will be automatically registered to take the test. ***

    ***ONLY 10th graders need to register/pay to take the test.***

    *At the time of registration, each student will receive a PSAT/NMSQT Official Student Guide and a full-length practice PSAT to help prepare for the test.  Please review the Student Guide and complete the practice tests.
