Upper Moreland School District's Art Show
The UMTSD’s Art Show is held annually on the 2nd Thursday of the month of May from 6:30-9:00pm.
Our annual district art show is the culminating event for the visual art department. The exhibited artwork illustrates the K-12 visual arts curriculum and showcases the talents and skills of our creative and talented students. Visitors will view both two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork.
As a rite of passage, each graduating senior who has majored in art at the Upper Moreland High School, showcases his or her body of work with an individual display. As part of this display, seniors announce their future plans and/or the university they will be attending.
In addition to viewing the student artwork, attendees can enjoy watching high school art students demonstrate how to throw clay vessels on the potter’s wheel. Students, parents and community members are encouraged to participate in various art-making activities, and visitors are welcome to enjoy light refreshments compliments of our generous Home & School Association.
