    NOTICE OF SCHOOL BOARD VACANCY and NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
    FOR UPPER MORELAND SCHOOL DISTRICT

     

    Due to the resignation of a School Board Member, effective June 21, 2023, the Board is seeking resumes from qualified residents who wish to serve on the Upper Moreland Township School Board for a term ending Monday, December 4, 2023.

    The Pennsylvania Public School Code of 1949 24PS3-322 defines eligible candidates as the following:

    “Any citizen of the Commonwealth having a good moral character, being 18 years of age or upwards and having been a resident of the district for at least one year prior to the date of his/her election or appointment shall be eligible to the office of School Director”.

    Cover letters and resumes should be submitted no later than noon on Friday, June 16, 2023 to Ms. Carol Boyle, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent either by US mail or email.

    The Upper Moreland Township School District Board of Directors will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 6:30pm in the Cafetorium at the Upper Moreland Intermediate School located at 3990 Orangemans Road, Hatboro, PA 19040. The purpose of this meeting is to fill the vacant board seat, and other matters which may come before the Board. Selected applicants for the vacant board seat will be invited to present their credentials for consideration before the Board of School Directors at this meeting. The Board is expected to take action on a candidate following interviews on July 20, 2023.
