Jennifer Forsyth, MLD is the K-12 Safety, Security, and Attendance Officer at Upper Moreland School District. Mrs. Forsyth has a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from Penn State Abington. She holds a Masters in Leadership Development from Penn State Great Valley.
She spent the earlier years of her career at Montgomery County Adult Probation and Parole as a Parole Officer for Montgomery County’s Behavioral Health Court helping individuals with criminal justice involvement seek forensic diversion through treatment connection and engagement. While working as a probation officer, Mrs.Forsyth also held the title of Co-Coordinator of the department's Critical Incident Response Team or CIRT team ensuring all officers had the opportunity to access resources and support to ensure their own mental wellness in the wake of a critical incident. Mrs. Forsyth spent several years working with the court system and legal representatives creating and pursuing alternative and restorative sanctions for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
Mrs. Forsyth spent the most recent ten years in the community mental health sector with the Crisis department at Lenape Valley Foundation. She started off providing direct care as a crisis worker until taking a leadership role in 2015 as Crisis Coordinator. She most recently held the title of Director of Crisis Services, overseeing multiple 24 hour crisis programs in Bucks County, Pa. She has worked closely with various law enforcement agencies in the Bucks County community to train officers on Crisis Intervention Training and commitment practices for individuals in a mental health crisis. She is trained in Verbal De-escalation, CPI, CPR, and Individual as well as Group Crisis Intervention.
Mrs. Forsyth resides in Montgomery County, PA with her husband and two children.
