Supervisor of Student Services - Ms. Dionne Fears
Dionne Fears, M. Ed., is excited to join the Upper Moreland School District as the Supervisor of Student Services. Currently in her 15th year in education, Ms. Fears holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from West Chester University. She earned a Master of Education degree in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Delaware and worked as a TRIO Upward Bound and Educational Talent Search Program Manager, serving 7th-12th grade students in Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware for several years.
Ms. Fears later attended Wilmington University to obtain a Master of Science degree with an Educational Specialist Certification in School Counseling. She spent several years working at the Chester Upland School District in the Counseling and Student Services departments, increasing the district’s graduation and postsecondary enrollment rates. Ms. Fears’ dedication to students and families further motivated her to obtain her K-12 Administrative Certification from the University of Scranton. She plans to continue her studies by pursuing a Doctoral Degree in K-12 Educational Leadership as well as a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility.
Ms. Fears possesses an unwavering passion and commitment to student achievement and success for all. Ms. Fears has also served as an Adjunct Professor, teaching Sociology and Psychology courses in the Leadership and Human Services Departments at Harcum College for the past 9 years. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family in Delaware.
