Director of Education - Mrs. Dina Cassidy

     D. Cassidy Dina Cassidy has been an employee of Upper Moreland School District for 29 years and an educator for 33 years.  She holds a  Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University, a Masters of Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University and a Masters of Educational Leadership through Delaware Valley University.  Her certificates include Early Childhood Education, K-12 Reading Specialist, K-12 Supervision of Curriculum and Instruction and  Principalship. 

    Dina Cassidy started her career as a classroom teacher in the School District of Philadelphia.  In 1993, she came to Upper Moreland as a Reading Specialist and teacher leader for Literacy at the elementary level where she taught and coordinated K-5 intervention and the Title I Reading Program.  In 2013, Mrs. Cassidy transitioned to an administrative position within the curriculum department.  Since that time she has overseen K-12 Core Content, Unified Arts and Career Education and Work curriculum.  Additionally, she coordinates the New Teacher Induction Program and is the Upper Moreland Federal Program Coordinator.  Mrs. Cassidy is also the administrative representative to the Upper Moreland Education Foundation and the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust. 

    Mrs. Cassidy is a resident of Upper Moreland with her husband and two daughters, who are both proud graduates of Upper Moreland.
