World Languages Mission Statement
Our mission in the Upper Moreland School District is to create a community of life-long learners who will develop the linguistic skills and cultural understanding to communicate successfully and function in all aspects of a multi-lingual and multi-cultural global society.
PEP Award Winner!
Upper Moreland School District is proud to announce that our World Language program is the recipient of a 2019-2020 Golden Globe, awarded by the Pennsylvania State Modern Language Association (PSMLA). As one of only twelve public or private high schools to be awarded the Golden Globe this year, our World Language department has again been rated as one of the best in the Commonwealth. Receiving this award is not new to us. Upper Moreland High School is one of three high schools in Pennsylvania to have been awarded the Golden Globe PEP (PSMLA Exemplary Program) Award for the past ten years.
The World Language Department was recognized for this achievement at the April School Board Meeting. Pictured with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Robert Milrod, and UMTSD Board President Mr. Brian Davis is French/Spanish Teacher, Mr. John Grande.
