These are some websites that we use in class, as well as websites that I find to be useful. Every two weeks, students are required to submit a current event summary. Students are required to find an article from the newspaper, a magazine, or the Internet that is science related. Topics include but are not limited to: the environment, space, chemistry, biology, nutrition, technology and science, plants/animals, weather (but not weather reports), and catastrophic events. The following websites have been useful to students in the past: www.sciencenewsforkids.org/articles In any current event that is turned in, students MUST make sure that they include the title of the article, the source in which it was found, page numbers (if applicable), date article was written, and author. Article must be stapled to the back of the summary, which should be approximately one page long. |
