(Work Permit)

Students 13 years to 18 years of age:

  • Students age 13 (caddy only) to 15 must have permit for each specific job
  • Students age 16 to 18 may transfer their permit to each job

Instructions for obtaining a work permit

  1. Students may obtain the application for a work permit at the School District Administration Building.  A parent must accompany the student and sign the application in the presence of a district employee. A birth certificate or driver's license/permit must be shown at this time.
  2. The student must then take the application to the employer. The employer fills out a portion of the application. Then a physician signs the application, indicating that the student is physically able to perform the work that employer is hiring him/her for.
  3. The student then brings the application back to the Administration Building..
  4. For students under 16, the student signs the work permit and it is mailed to the employer.
  5. For students 16 and over, the student is issued a blue card which is carried on his/her person. It must be signed by the student in the presence of a district employee.
