Upper Moreland School District After Care Guidelines
In the Event of a School Emergency/Inclement Weather

  • In the event of a school emergency early dismissal due to inclement weather, etc., After Care will provide after-school child care for a specified amount of time after school closes. This will be decided by the Superintendent who will assess the nature and severity of the emergency. Parents can use the following resources to determine if there is an early dismissal along with the closing time for the After Care Program. Parents are expected to pick up their children as soon as possible.

  • In general, children must be picked up no later than the specified closing time.
  • If the school district is closed for the entire day due to inclement weather, the After-school Child Care Program will also be closed.
  • Child care for early dismissal, parent conference and inservice days are presently not included in the Upper Moreland After-School Child Care Program. If services can be arranged and offered, notification will be provided to parents, along with a fee schedule.
