Buenos Dias y Bienvenidos!

Welcome to the Spanish Menu Project
The 8th grade World Language students who are studying Spanish are required to design an attractive menu for a fictitious restaurant that serves Spanish food.

The students are graded on correct spelling of both Spanish and English words, clarity, neatness, and creativity. Their grade on this project is equivalent to a test score.
The menu must contain at least the following:

  • 4 appetizers = Aperitivos
  • 4 entrees = Platos Principales
  • 4 desserts = Postres
  • 5 beverages = Bebidas

The menu must have a restaurant name, ( El Rincon de Chico….. La Casa de Maria….. El Restaurante de Mama)

  • Spanish/English food list all must be spelled correctly in both languages
  • All foods listed must make sense
  • Main dishes must include more than just a meat. For example, do not just put “pollo” chicken. Please put “arroz con pollo” for chicken and rice.
  • The students can create their menu in hard copy or use the Powerpoint program

The students are given links to various websites for resources to create their menus.
Below are menus created by some of our students. There are a few pages for each project. Use the space bar to view each page then close the window when you are done. Please remember that these menus are drafts – the students still have time to correct their errors.
¡Buen Provecho!
