The Montgomery County Office of Children & Youth is the sole
agency in Montgomery County, under Pennsylvania law, mandated to
investigate all reports of suspected abuse, neglect or dependency
of children from birth to age 18 residing in Montgomery County.
The professional staff investigates reports made to their office
and work with parents, when appropriate, to remove conditions which
adversely affect the child’s care. The staff works with families
directly and also coordinates services with community resources
to improve family conditions.

The Sanctuary is a special inpatient unit designed to meet the needs
of trauma survivors and balance the needs to be safe, to be nurtured,
and to have boundaries. They specifically target self-injury,

Victim Services Center of Montgomery County, Inc. provides 24 hours
crisis intervention to survivors and their significant others via
a crisis hotline. At the request of clients, they can provide
hospital, police, and court accompaniments. They also provide
group crisis response to communities at the request of the police
and/or a community member/group. They provide one on one counseling
and support groups for survivors and their significant others.
There services are comprehensive without regard to age, race, national
origin, gender, sexual preference, religion, or disability. All
services are free and confidential.

Their purpose is to help families and friends of alcoholics recover

young people. Alateen groups are sponsored by Al-Anon members.
The program of recovery is adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous and
is based upon the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and Twelve Concepts
of Service. The only requirement for membership is that there
be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend.
