It is recommended that students complete all applications online. STEP 1: Teacher recommendations should be sent by teachers directly to the college/university. Students should supply each recommender with envelopes – addressed and stamped. STEP 2: Obtain, sign and submit an Upper Moreland Records Release Form (purple). This form should be completed once, and must be on file in the Guidance office prior to making transcript requests or may be brought in with your first application.. STEP 3: Once Step 1 and 2 are complete, bring
the following to the Guidance Office: After submitting the above information to Guidance, it will be reviewed by your counselor for final processing and will then be mailed to the college. You will receive a postcard in the mail indicating that the application has been processed and mailed. STEP 4: Arrange to have SAT scores sent directly to all colleges you are applying to. This can be done through the College Board website at (www.collegeboard.com). STEP 5: 1st Marking Period Grades/Mid-Year Reports: Upon your request, 1st marking period grades and Mid-Year grades will be sent as soon as they are available. Please submit your requests along with any required “forms” as soon as possible. STEP 6: Make a Final Decision: Inform colleges that have accepted you of your final decision (whether you plan to attend or not). If you have applied Early Decision and are accepted, it is required and expected that you withdraw applications to all other schools and accept the offer. Note: Your counselor will also notify all the colleges to which you have applied of your ED offer of admission. STEP 7: Final Grade Report: A copy of your final transcript will be sent to the school you plan to attend; therefore, it is important to notify us of your decision. Copies of all acceptance/scholarship letters should also be submitted to the guidance office as you receive them. PLEASE BE AWARE OF APPLICATION DEADLINES. BE SURE THE APPLICATION/REQEST IS SUBMITTED TO THE GUIDANCE OFFICE AT LEAST 1 WEEK BEFORE THE DEADLINE DATE. A – D Mrs. Baratta
