 Benefits for Parents and Students

                                Pre-Pay Café increases line speed and safeguards money

• Lunch lines move faster when meals are prepaid, thus providing students extra time to enjoy their lunch period.
• Pre-payments are convenient and allows for better security rather than cash.
• Once the transaction has been completed, your student will know his/her account balance.        
• When the account is prepaid you can be sure that your student is only using that money for nutritious lunches/breakfasts and snacks served in our cafe.
• Parents can pre-pay any amount over $5.00 at any time.  Students are asked to send in prepay money  any morning, by completing a PRE-PAY Café slip.  If using a check, please include Student I.D. Number on the check.  A meal is deducted from your child’s account only but using their Student I.D. Number. 
• Prepaid accounts for all students allows parents to deposit money in their student’s account, in any amount, at any time, and not have to be concerned with giving their student the exact change every morning.
• Students no longer need to retrieve their lunch tickets from other lines.

Privacy of your child’s account

• For those students receiving free or reduced meals, their meals will be rung up as all the other meals are.  No one will know whether they are receiving a free or reduced meal on their account, except for the manager and cashier.  You may add money to your child’s account for extra milk or snacks at any time.
• All Student I.D. Numbers are kept confidential.

What happens at Breakfast and Lunch

• Lunch is defined as a choice of entrée, milk choice, and up to three side dishes available to all students.
• Students may use any register.  When a lunch or breakfast is recorded at one terminal, it will automatically be recorded on the other registers.
• Pin pads are located at every terminal; they provide ease of use and allow for quick transactions.
• Once the transaction has been completed, your student will know his/her account balance.        
• When student accounts get low, students will be informed at the register of their balance.

How much can my child spend each day?

• Information on your child’s account may be updated at any time by you, but it must be in writing. 
• Parents can be assured that all prepaid monies can only be used for lunch/breakfast and snacks.  Please discuss with your child, how they plan to spend their money.
