Overview

This course will provide a basic foundation in the fundamentals of physics.  Emphasis will be placed on knowledge of scientific concepts, acquisition and use of laboratory skills, and the influence of technology on society.  Laboratory experiences are designed for students to gain skills in handling equipment, making observations, acquiring laboratory reasoning, understanding the scientific process, and communicating outcomes.  Problem solving using mathematical relationships will be stressed.
