We encourage parents and community members to support us and participate in our literacy program.

• Model reading and writing in the home and in our community.
• Involve our children in reading, writing, listening, and speaking for real-life purposes.
• Help your child get a library card and foster a love of reading and writing.
• Use word games to reinforce and practice vocabulary and word study activities with children.
• Become “reading and writing buddies” to promote growth in literacy.
• Promote independent reading and writing at home.
