Purpose
As public entities, schools and school districts work most effectively when there is ongoing dissemination of relevant information to parents/guardians, to members of the larger school community, to representatives of business, industry, and civic organizations, and to representatives of the press and mass media.  In addition to dissemination of relevant information, ongoing communication between all groups is encouraged to provide for more effective school and school district functioning.

Responibility
Towards this end, the Board and the Superintendent or designee will utilize all appropriate means and media to explain the programs, achievements, and needs of the schools and school district to the parents/guardians, members of the larger school community, representatives of business, industry, and civic organizations, and representatives of the press and mass media.  Dissemination of aforementioned information will require approval by the Board and/or by the Superintendent or designee.  In addition, the Board and Superintendent or designee will engage all relevant groups in ongoing communication to provide for more effective school and school district functioning.
