Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to ensure compliance with
applicable law and employee contracts regarding payment of overtime
hours worked, and to ensure consistent treatment of all employees subject
to such policy and law, the following guidelines are established.
Guidelines
- The Superintendent or designee, after taking reasonable consideration
of any additional costs to the district, is authorized to approve overtime
which he considers necessary to the normal operation of the school district
and also, any overtime required by urgent or emergency conditions.
- No overtime shall be scheduled or worked without the prior approval
of the immediate supervisor and/or Superintendent, or designee under
normal conditions.
