Purpose
In order to ensure reliable assistance in the absence of regular classified personnel, compensation to qualified substitutes shall be in accordance with this policy.

Guidelines
Substitute employees will be paid on an hourly basis at a rate consistent with administrative guidelines and negotiated contracts for the various classes of employees.
