| Purpose
The Board directs the Superintendent to develop and implement a systematic
short-range and long-range plan for the continuing qualitative assessment
of the progress of the educational program toward the goals established
by the Board. To this end, she/he shall recommend such tests and
methods as may be indicated by generally accepted professional practice
and best professional judgment.
Authority
The Board reserves the right to review each such test and to approve those,
which serve a legitimate purpose without infringing upon the personal
rights of the students or their parents.
- The results of any evaluation may be released by the Superintendent
using district-wide data, or by principals employing school data,
but such data must not be traceable to individuals.
Parents may obtain an explanation of the results of their child's test
from qualified school personnel.
The Superintendent or designee shall recommend improvements in the program
and staff based upon the evaluation of the district's program.
Responsibility
The Superintendent or designee shall develop procedures for assessing
the effectiveness of the educational program. The methods and
procedures for evaluation shall be included as part of the district’s
local assessment plan and Framework for Continuous Improvement.
