Title: Adult Education

Purpose 
The Board recognizes the continuing interests of adult members of the community in educational growth and advancement and the need of both adults and minors for learning programs not available to them in the regular program of the schools. 

Authority 
The Board shall establish and maintain an adult school facility that may be made available to an Adult Evening School operated by the Township Recreation Department. 

Responsibility 
The Superintendent or designee is authorized to develop procedures to implement this policy.  Such procedures will insure that adult education programs are quality programs that do not contain objectionable or inflammatory content.  

The Superintendent or designee will approve those programs that do not interfere with the District’s educational program or the best interest of the school system. 

The Township Recreation Department will provide a certificate of insurance that meets the requirements set forth by the district Business Manager with regard to the use of facilities.
