Name
The Board of School Directors shall be known officially as the Board of School Directors of Upper Moreland Township, hereinafter sometimes referred to as the "Board".

Composition
The School District of Upper Moreland Township comprises all lands that lie within the municipal boundaries of Upper Moreland Township.

Purpose
The School District of Upper Moreland Township is organized for the purpose of providing a program of public education to serve the needs of the Commonwealth.
