Success at the State Championships!
The Upper Moreland Boys Swimming and Diving team re-wrote history this past weekend at the State Championships.  Records were broken, medals were won, and the team placed 7th out of 250 schools in the entire state of PA.  Steve Rowland had a personal best time and medaled in the 200 free with a 7th place finish, Stew Conard had a personal best time and was in the finals, where he ended 13th, Robert Schwartz broke his own record and was in the finals where he ended 11th in the 50 free, and Rowland, Conard, Schwartz, and Eric Dyke broke their own record in the 200 free relay with a personal best time and medaled with a tie for 6th place.  Day 2 of competition, Schwartz broke his own record in the 100 free and was in the finals where he ended up 13th.  Rowland had a personal best time in the 500 free and was in the finals where he ended up 12th.  Stew Conard had a personal best time in the 100 back, and Rowland, Conard, Dyke, and Schwartz swam to a fantastic finish in their 400 free relay where they medaled with a 4th place finish.  Pat McPeak had a great first State meet where he dove and successfully made it through the rounds, where he ended up 21st!  The five boys: Conard, Dyke, McPeak, Rowland, and Schwartz are a powerful force that cannot be beat and have left their mark in UM history!  Congrats for all of your accomplishments boys, you make Upper Moreland proud!

A great job by Sam Conard this past weekend as she swam at states! Sam was the only girl to represent Upper Moreland at Bucknell University. She swam the 200 and 500 yard freestyle. She represents the top female swimmers in the state. She had two great swims. Congratulations for a successful season.
