Dear Parent/Guardian:

In the past two years, our School District initiated a new form of communication called a “list serve.”  List serves allow us to e-mail groups of people who have signed up to receive information on a regular basis from the school district. 

Our list serve, named “Upper Moreland e-communicator,” allows us to send messages to parents and community members whenever appropriate.  Currently, we have individual list serve categories for the primary school, kindergarten, grade one, grade two, intermediate school, grade three, grade four, grade five, intermediate school special education, middle school, high school principal, high school daily announcements and school news, high school sports and activities, superintendent’s message, and key communicator information.  Parents and community members who wish to receive e-mails from one or more of these categories will be able to sign up through our web-site. 

It is our goal to provide updated and ongoing information to all of our constituent groups on a regular basis.  For example, during an emergency such as a snow day or a school lock down, information will be sent simultaneously to all of the list serves at once, providing an instant method for communicating with a large segment of our school community.

In order for us to maintain current and accurate records, we eliminate our email lists on a yealy basis. This is done in August.  Although many of you signed up for this service last year, you will need to re-register. This will need to be done even if you had previously registered for our list serves last year, or since the beginning of this year.  Please take a moment to register (or re-register) through our school district website at this link: www.umtsd.org/newsletter/index.htm.   Be sure to choose all of the categories that are of interest to you.
