a click away!

COMPASS allows Pennsylvanian’s to apply for social service programs, such as Food Stamps (FS), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Energy Assistance, Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), etc., online. Families can use COMPASS to apply for free or reduced price school meals only, or they can apply for other services at the same time (FS, TANF, etc.).

If your child attends The School District of Upper Moreland Township, you can apply for free or reduced price school meals online by going to the COMPASS website at www.compass.state.pa.us or you can continue to use the paper “Household Meal Benefit Application” if you prefer. If you apply for free or reduced price school meals through COMPASS, you do not need to submit a paper application.

Here is how COMPASS can help you.

  • The self-screening questionnaire can tell you which social services the members of the household may be eligible to receive.
  • The application lets you apply online for social services offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • The renewal function allows you to provide the information necessary to determine continued eligibility of benefits when the end of your benefit period approaches.
  • You can log into your own secure My COMPASS Account to view a summary of your benefit details. This option is only open to individuals receiving Medicaid, Food Stamps, Cash Assistance, Long Term Care, or Waiver benefits through the Department of Public Welfare. Coming soon, you will be able to view your CHIP and adult Basic benefit details in COMPASS.
