Middle School Summer Reading for Incoming Eighth Graders
2012-2013
Students entering 8th grade for the 2012-2013 school year are required to read two (2) books during the summer, one core reading book and one book of choice.
Core Reading Requirements:
Core reading book will be assessed upon returning to school in September.Students will be assessed in class on the elements of plot (setting, characters, theme, conflict, climax, resolution,).
A story map is provided on the district website to help prepare students for the assessment.
