Upper Moreland School District's Art Show
The UMTSD’s Art Show is held annually on the2ndThursday of the month of May from 6:30-9:30pm.
Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork,
created by students from Kindergarten to the twelfth grade, is exhibited.
As a rite of passage, each graduating senior who has majored in art at the High School, showcases their body of work with an individual display. As part of this display, seniors announce their future plans and/or the university they will be attending.
Throughout the evening, UM music students provide live entertainment. During the Art Show, high school art students demonstrate how to throw clay vessels on the potter’s wheel, young children are encouraged to participate in an art-making activity, photographs may be taken in the “Gallery of Masterpieces”, and visitors may enjoy light refreshments compliments of the Home & School Association.
