How did the seeds get planted for Cubby’s Garden Project?

Many students planted seeds in their classrooms.

In these photos, kindergarten students are preparing to plant. Each child moistened a compressed peat pellet and planted seeds in the expanded soil. The following seeds were started in the classroom: sunflowers, marigolds, coneflowers, daisies, coleus, basil, beans, and melons.

Other seeds that were stated were: cucumber, squash, cilantro, oregano, mesclun-sweet salad mix, tomatoes, and peppers.

Egg cartons were used to encourage suitability and recycling.
